We had a non stop day today. Right after breakfast we worked on Valentines Day Cards. Then Addisson helped me wrap presents and package them up to mail. After that it was lunch time. After lunch went outside and gave the goats food and water, burned the trash, went to the post office, bank and by that time Asa was calling to let us know he was home. After dinner the girls played, I read them a stories and it was bed time.

Nothing too exciting today.

Yesterday Addisson had preschool and Asa went to work. Once he got home from work we went to Watertown to Dicks Sporting Goods store. We bought ice skates for Quinlyn and a helmet. She was so cute with them on. These tiny little legs in these big skates. It was even cuter trying to watch her walk in them. She did pretty good. She would take a few steps start to lose her balance then take a few more. She was so mad when we had to take them off. Once she had the box in her hands she stopped screaming and crying for she knew we were buying them. She loved having her pink helmet on too. I told Asa now that we have a helmet for her we should just have her wear it around the house. Since she seems to be so accident prone. She is always bonking her head.

It was so cold last night. With the windchill it was -25 degrees F. By 9pm we were all in bed trying to keep warm. Asa, Addisson, Quinlyn and I all snuggled under the covers. I was reading the girls a story while we were in bed and I could hardly finish it. I was starting to fall a sleep. I dont think I did finish Curious George.

While Asa and Quinlyn were sleeping, Addisson and I decided to go and play in the snow. I went into the garage area to find a rat peeking out of a box that is in there. Yuck! This isn't the gross part. Before we went outside Addisson said "Mom what is this black bloody looking thing on the green carpet". I took a tissue and picked it up and looked at it close. It was the head part of a rat or mouse. It was pretty small so I hope it was a mouse and not a baby rat. I saw its beady eyes. They looked real and the cut off part was white (tissue) and bloody. I think wood had it but I don't really know where it came from. I asked Addisson if she touched. She didn't answer right away so I just said "go wash your hands NOW! Yuck! I kept thinking to myself, Where is the other half? Are there more? Did the cats catch this and leave it then Woody came along and ate HALF of it. At first I thought it was a cat toy but as I looked closer I realized it wasn't. I wished now I hadn't looked closer and to think I was holding it in my hand with a flimsy tissue. YUCK!

This evening Asa was shaving and Addisson said "Dad are you shaving off your Fur". Asa quickly corrected her and said "Hair. I am shaving of the hair on my face!"

Today Quinlyn who doesn't say much got in on the funny sayings. We were having lunch and I spilled something on my shirt like I always do and she said "mommy you need a bib". It was pretty clear for her. Asa and Addisson always tease me for spilling on my shirt and today she did too. It was pretty cute. I asked if she said that and she said yes.

Monday January 22, 2007

We were back to our normal schedule. We went to Watertown to run a few errands and we were back in town for Dance class. The girls both fell a sleep in the car so I spent at least an hour in the driveway in the car with Woody. Addisson did great at dance class. When we got home I fixed dinner and Asa was home shortly. At dinner time we called the girls to the table but Quinlyn wouldn't come. She told her dad "Noooooo". He didn't like that very much. She was quickly strapped into her seat at the table where she cried and whined the entire time. After trying to reason with her to stop crying we just turned her around to face the wall looking at the cat dish on the floor. We then told her she was going to bed immediately after dinner if she didn't stop crying. Which she didn't. It was a good hour and half of screaming from the bedroom and Asa trying to get her to stay in bed. I then went in and tried to lay with her to get her to calm down thinking she is just too worked up and I can calm her down she would fall a sleep. She did calm down right away but after a half hour of singing and cuddling with her she want going to sleep. I told her I had to go clean up the kitchen and she needed to stay in bed. She immediately started screaming. I just walked out and put the gate up so she couldn't come out of the room. She continued screaming and having a melt down for at least another hour and a half before she finally fell a sleep. This is unlike her. She usually isn't this cranky especially because she had a nap. I even gave her Tylenol since she is teething. YIKES. I hope tonight will be different.

Tuesday January 23, 2007

I was up most of the night with Quinlyn. She piled into our bed with Addisson, Asa and I at about midnight. She was up and kicking quite often during the night. I got up at about 4am to go to the lazy boy chair and I wasn't there 2 minutes and she came out with her blanket. That lasted about an hour of wiggling. I woke up around 7am to "Mommy, Quinlyn is in the bathtub and she has the shower on". YIKES. I zipped out of bed and went to the bathroom. Yup. Sure enough she was soaked. PJ's and all. Thankfully the shower was on cold. She was in big trouble now.

I took Addisson to preschool. When we picked her up I brought Quinlyn inside with me where she went and found Addisson and got so excited. She gave her a big hug. It was so cute. Then Addisson took her by the hand and led her around. Addisson wore her new black and white polka dot dress to school and all the teachers loved it. Her teacher told me her niece who is also in Addisson's class wanted to wear a dress today and told her don't all the girls were dresses. Her teacher told her niece well Addisson usually does. Her niece replied does she were tights? Her teacher said she has been because its winter. It looks like Addisson my be a fashion trend setter at school. She definitely doesn't get it from me.

It started snowing when we got out of preschool and it has only gotten heavier. We had lunch and shortly after lunch Daddy came home early. He and Quinlyn are now in the bedroom taking a nap while Addisson is playing with her dolls and I am writing my blog. It is snowing very hard outside. The roads are covered already. We were going to go to Watertown to a do it your self dog wash but we decided we better stay home with the way the roads are looking. Woody will have to stink for a few more days.

Saturday January 20, 2007

Asa and Steven spent most of the day shooting his guns. They first went out to shoot pigeons but there wasnt any around. We usually have so many in the Silo but not this morning. They then went out back in the field and drew targets on all of the junk back there and were shooting. I was surprised you couldnt here them in the house. They saw some birds fly over head and chased them down in the truck and shot some. They spent the rest of the day and most of the evening cleaning the guns.

Sunday January 21, 2007

We did chores around the barn. Asa walked the electric fence line for it wasn't working because snow had drifted onto it. He also loaded the truck with hay to give to the girl goats and boy goats. Asa throws the bails into the pens and the girls and I spread them around. Steven stayed inside to pack.

Asa left to bring Steven to the airport in SYR (Syracuse) at 12:40. The girls and I stayed home for Addisson had ice skating later in the afternoon. The girls both were very sad to see him go. We all were. The time he spent here went extremely quick. Steven has a great story about his trip to Chicago and he describes his first few days with the Prices. It sounds like his stay with them is the exact opposite of his here. It sounds like I want to go visit them. http://stevesusatrip.blogspot.com/index.html
He also has some great photos he took while in the US. I used his photos on my blog since I took mostly video.

When we parked at the ice skating rink Addisson told me "I am a little ticked at this ice skating business". I laughed and asked why. She said "because of all the falling". I told her that is how you learn to skate. I made sure she was still having fun with it and off we went. Addisson's skating went great. This is her third lesson and she did it all with out a walker. After the lesson she skated with the walker for about an hour. During that time she started doing spins then would catch herself with the walker. She wouldn't get of the ice and after about the fourth try I grabbed her walker and told her if she is going to stay on the ice she was going to do it with out the walker. And she did. She did fabulous. She skated up, down and across the ice and it was another 15 minutes of skating. We were so proud of her. We were all so excited for her and she loves it. I call her my little ice princess. She loves that.

Sunday January 14, 2007

We woke up early to be on the road by 7am. We wanted to be home by 3pm because Addisson had ice skating. We took the 401 back until we hit Kingston. Then we took the scenic way home. We were going to go thru buffalo and hit the bottom part of Lake Ontario but it snowed and it was a good thing we didnt go that way for they closed highway 81 just below Watertown. On the way home we only had a little bit of snow up north. Once we were about an hour east of Toronto there was nothing.

We made it back home by 1pm and everyone went to the ice skating rink. Addisson did ok but she was so tired. She had two very long days and nights prior. She still skated for over an hour but she fell a lot.

Quinlyn was very happy to see all of us. She danced and screamed and hugged Addisson. It was too cute.

Monday and Tuesday January 15 & 16 2007

We stayed at home. Addisson was able to catch up on sleep and we were able to finish organizing all the toys from Christmas. Steven put together a book shelf for us. Addisson had preschool. We had movie nights with Steven.

When Asa got home from work and went to feed the goats he found one laying on the ground. It was an older goat. Or at least she looked it. She had never really socialize much with the heard and always waited to eat. While Asa was feeding the goat the others were standing on her. I am sure that didnt help. Asa seperated her with her own food and water. There wasnt much else we could do but wait until morning. Which she didnt survive the night. Addisson had been out doing the chores with her dad so she had many questions. Especially because the kids favorite book at her preschool right now is "There was an old lady who swallowed a fly, I dont know why, perhaps she'll die".

Wednesday January 17, 2007

Cheryl was leaving for PA so she took Steven to the Ski Resort. We spent the morning at home and then left about noon to go pick him up. Addisson wanted to see him snow board so we arrived a little early. I also wanted to look around Lowville. We picked Steve up at 4pm and drove home.

Thursday January 18, 2007

Addisson went to preschool. Afterwards we went to Watertown. I dropped Steven off at the mall. We were going to see Charlottes Web but it had already left the theatre. OOPs. I heard from Addisson "Why, Why isnt it at the theatre, Where did it go" over and over. We ended up going to Blue Seal Feed Store, Walgreens and getting lunch. By that time Steve was done shopping and we headed home.

Friday January 19, 2007

Steven, The Girls and I went up to see Asa at work in Ogdensburg. Asa had a medical appiontment I had to make sure he went too. So I stalked him at work. Steven was nice enough to look after the girls while we were at his apiontment. Luckily they slept the entire time. We followed Asa home and he and Steven got ready to go back to Canada. They were going to Kingston to see another hockey game. The Kingston Frontenacs vs ? I wrote out a permission slip for Steve. Just in case they ask again. How dumb is that. Needing a permission slip. Anyone can just make one up like we did. When Asa and Steve were crossing the border they asked "when was the last time you were in Canada" Steve told them Sunday. They gave him a bit of trouble because he didnt have his passport stamped. Well they havent stamped anyones. Asa has been over the border a few times and always shows his passport and they never stamp it. You must have to ask to get it stamped. They let him thru. Asa said they had great seats at the game, that any seat would be great. The arena was very easy to find. Addisson was a bit put off that she couldnt go too but we had fun at home.

Saturday January 13, 2007

Toronto, Canada
We woke up about 9am. By the time we all got showered, dressed and ready to go it was 11am. Steven wanted to go to the CN tower and we were going to go to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Neither of us had interest in each others plans so we split up. We would get back together later in the day.

Asa, Addisson and I took the subway to the Air Canada Centre. We got a bonus on the subway. We were expecting to have to pay for each of us individually but they have an all day family pass. Unlimited public transportation for only 8.50 Canadian dollars. You can use it on the subway, trolley, and bus. Any public transportation. It was a great bargain and made getting around wonderful for Addisson and myself who get tired quickly. Once at the Air Canada Centre (home to the Toronto Maple Leafs) we asked the scalpers how much tickets were and they all told us nothing was available for under $150/ticket. We said I don't think so. We went to the ticket booth to see if there were seats available. They were sold out but we were able to sign up for a wrist band. The wrist band was for tickets from season ticket holders who were unable to make the game and they allow the team to resell the tickets. Each person with a wrist band could buy 2 tickets but in order to get a wrist band you have to show up game day between 9 and 11am. We were very lucky we were able to get the wrist band since we showed up at about 11:15am. We had to show ID and sign onto a list then come back at 5pm. This allows you a spot in line for the lottery drawing for tickets. We met up with Steven at the hotel and we all took the subway, using our family pass, and arrived at 4:45pm. They apparently gave out too many wrist bands that night so they were only allowing each person with a band to buy one ticket. If we got picked in the lottery it would only leave us with 2 tickets for the 4 of us. We told the person in charge of the resale tickets we had our cousin here from Australia and it was our daughters first hockey game. We gave him the sad story. They picked 3 or 4 times before they hit a wrist band number where the person actually showed up at 5pm. The ticket which was finally drawn was the one right before ours. We were very excited because we now knew we would at least have two tickets. I told Asa if we were only allowed 2 tickets that Addisson and I would go back to the hotel and go swimming. I figured Steven would have much more fun with Asa than with me. When we got to the ticket window to purchase our tickets they let us buy 4 tickets. Yeah. We were all so excited we were all able to go to the game. It was hockey night in Canada. It was the Toronto Maple Leafs vs Vancouver Canucks. It was fun but not nearly as fun as when we went to see the Montreal Canadians play. The crowd was so much more into the game and so much more vocal and chanted than at this game. It was still fun even though Vancouver spanked the Maple Leafs.

Once we had our name on the list we took the subway to the Eaton Centre. This is a huge mall above and below ground. Addisson's shoes were hurting and she had out grown her sneaker so we looked for shoes for her since we were doing so much walking. We went to the first shoe store we saw, which was sketchers. She bee lined for a pink pair of mary-jane type sneakers. They were pink with sparkly flowers sewn to them. I tried to get her to just look at a regular pair of sneakers but she only wanted to try those on. I finally got her to agree to try on a pair of pink cowboy boots but they didn't have her size. They only had them in black with pink stitching. She didn't want anything to do with them. So it was the pink mary-jane sneakers.

Addisson was getting hungry, since we didnt eat breakfast, we were looking for some good ethnic food but there wasnt any at the moment when we decided to have lunch. None of us had been to a Hard Rock Cafe and there was one across the street. It was good but too pricey. After lunch we headed back to the room where we met up with Steven.

Sunday January 21, 2007

It has been a while since I have written. I hope I can remember it all to keep you all posted on our life on the farm.

Friday January 5, 2007

I finished my sleep test. By Monday the doctor had the official results. They told me it would take 2 to 3 weeks. I guess they didn't want me to stop breathing for good in my sleep. They wanted to bring my sleep machine (bi pap) on Monday but I already had something scheduled. I got the machine on Wed. The first night with it I slept better than I had in months. I sleep for 4 hours in a row, and only got out of bed 2x during the night. Its been a week now and I am feeling less tired.

We finished ripping out the blue carpet in the blue room. It was a little bit of work but worth it. Once the carpet and pad was out we painted the floor white with Kilz. The paint job is nothing fancy, very rough but it does cover up the sub floor and makes the room feel so much cleaner. There was so much dirt under the carpet, it was gross. There were also many stains on the floor. The Kilz covered up most of the stains. In one corner we put down the kids' squishy mats down and their play rug on top of it. Then we moved the train table into the room and use it like a coffee table and the kids are playing with it so much more. They love it. In the corner with the mats we put their kitchen, grocery store, Vanity and baby doll carriage. They now have several places to play. In the train table there are two big drawers that slide under the table. One of the drawers in all of their baby dolls and accessories. The other is all of their Kitchen supplies ( food, dishes etc...). They are able to play with so many of their toys now that they have a better place to play. We also put set up a book shelf in our bedroom which is right off of the blue/living room. This has helped tremendously to keep all of their toys organized.

Thursday January 11, 2007

Steven arrived at the Watertown Airport. Asa was off so he went and picked him up with the girls while we organized the living room which I described in the above paragraph. It was great to see him. He hasn't changed too much since we saw him last. Other than his hair is much longer and he is more mature. A very nice young and intelligent man. Prior to his arrival we were describing him to Addisson. We told her he talks like a wiggle and really likes music, plays the guitar and has a good voice. We told her to ask him to sing a wiggles song and to ask him which wiggle is he. She got mad at us and totally defended him. She said "that's not very nice calling him names. He is my cousin!". Asa and I chuckled and agreed with her, but stated "Calling him a wiggle wasn't a bad thing it's a compliment". The girls really took to Steve while he was here.

Friday January 12, 2007
Addisson, Asa, Steven and I woke up early in the morning but didn't get on the road until 9 am. Quinlyn stayed at home with Grandma Reed. We pulled out of the driveway and about a mile down the road Asa realized he forgot his phone and so we turned around and went back to get it. When we were heading back to the house Addisson said" Dad are we going to Canada ... OR...NOT!" It had so much attitude it cracked us up. Then she says " Well are we Or NOT'. We then had to let her know she had too much tude in her tone of voice. We went over the border to Canada. At Border Patrol we handed the person our ID's and with Steven's they asked if we had a letter of permission for him to be traveling with us. They said it was required since he is not 18 but they would let us thru this time. We got on the 401 (Steven commented on being back in the land of the Metric System) and headed to the closest Starbucks which was in Kingston. We were glad to hear Steven liked Starbucks too. He even orders an impressive coffee drink. An Americano with Hazelnut. Grandpap Reed would be very proud! Addisson was very excited to have Starbucks too. She said"I haven't had in a long time I think I will have.....". Once in Starbucks the woman waiting on us asked what she could get us and Addisson spoke up and said "a small apple juice with ice and a straw". It was cute.

We continued our journey, Addisson watched Finding Nemo on the DVD player. She got scared with the shark scenes and wanted Steven to watch it with her. We made it to Niagara Falls by 3pm. The Canadian side is soooo much better. It was beautiful. Once we were there, we were sad we decided not to stay there that evening. There was so much to see. We also found out there are 3 indoor Water parks in Niagara. We will definitely go back sometime. It was 4pm when we had finished looking at the falls and we were told the lights came on at 5pm so we decided to wait. Soon it was 5:15 and no lights. Asa went and asked and they told him 5:30pm. We figured it was only 15 more minutes so we waited. Soon it was almost 6:00pm. Asa asked someone else when the lights come on and they told him 6:00pm. We decided to wait. I took Addisson back to the car because she was soaked from jumping and running thru the puddles at the falls viewing area. I got her changed and we waited until 6:20pm and decided to go get Starbucks and then come back. We all loaded into the car. Once we had Starbucks and drove back down by the Falls it was almost 7pm and the lights were actually on. At this point we had to drive back to Toronto and get our hotel so we just did a drive by.

While in Niagara we saw pictures of the Falls at the same time of year just heaped with ice. It was very pretty. While we were there the temp was 45 degrees F. In the flower beds the tulips and crocus were just starting to sprout thru the dirt. It was unusually warm for this time of year. It would be cool to go back and see the ice all over the rails from the mist, and ice on the river above and below the falls.

Addisson seemed to have a great time as did I. It was great watching her and Asa have some quality time together and goofing around while we waited for the lights to come on. The only issue we had is she loved to stand on the stone wall and look over the railing at the falls. She made me so nervous. We wouldn't let her up there by herself but she kept harassing me by trying to get up there and she kept asking "can i get up here, how about here". Its funny now but was annoying at the time.

We got back to the Toronto area about 8:30. I didn't have an address to the Hotel but I knew or I thought we were on the same street as the Eaton Center but I couldn't remember the name of the "Eaton Centre" or the name of the street. I knew were 10 blocks up from somewhere. After driving around for a bit and a phone call we found the Marriott. It was just the wrong one. I got directions to the correct one which was only over one street but back about 10 blocks ( how ironic). We got all checked in and got to our room about 9 or 930pm. Addisson had been sleeping in the car but now she was wired. I fell a sleep way before she did. I woke up at 12:30 and I had to scold her and tell her to go to sleep.

Its getting late and my fingers are getting tired from typing. I will continue tomorrow. Thanks again for reading.

On Tuesday Asa and I woke up very early and drove down to Syracuse. I dropped him off at the Holiday Inn and I went to the mall. I had to wait about half hour before the mall opened but I snoozed in the car. I had a great time. I spent from 9am until 2pm at the mall shopping and looking around. The kids were with the grandparents and I had all the freetime. It was a very nice day. After the mall I went back to our room and watched some TV while I waited for Asa to finish his carpet class. Once he was back we went driving around the city and found a good pizza place for dinner. The next morning I stayed in the room and watched TV all day until he got back to the room. I havent wasted that much time in so long. I did absolutely nothing. It was fabulous. We drove back to Watertown where we met up with the girls and Grandparents.

We shopped some more with them and we went to dinner. I went to the Dr for my tick bite I got way back in November. They tested me for Lyme Disease and I should know more in about a week. The spot where the tic was is all swollen, red and huge. It was already infected one other time and was oozing this is the second time. No puss this time just big and red like the size of cantalope in diameter not in projection.

After dinner everyone left and went back to Redwood. I went to the hospital for my sleep disorder testing. It wasnt quite what I expected. I knew there would be alot of wires but I didnt expect them to be all over my body. I also didnt expect to have to stay in bed once they hooked me up. After sleeping about 5minutes the Respiratory Therapist said he couldnt stand it and needed to hook me up to the CPAP (continuous positive air pressure)machine. I woke up two times that I knew of while on the machine. The second time I had only been on the machine for about 2 hours and they told me I had it maxed out on the air pressure. I know had to sleep in a recliner. They told me I was so bad they didnt want me to lay down and sleep. I was woken up at 5am and the Therapist told me I was the worst patient he had ever seen in his 10 years of working at the clinic. Worst patient as in having the worst case of sleep apea. YIKES. No wonder I feel tired all the time.

Tuesday January 2, 2006

It was a busy day today. Grandpap took AR to preschool and came back and was helping Asa outside. They spent the morning burning wood and loading insulation and drywall into a dumpster. I need to take pictures. We have two trailers on the property that were left. By trailers I mean mobile homes. One was added onto but wasnt quite as big as a double wide. They were in horrific shape. We couldnt believe there were people living in it up until two weeks before we closed on the Farm. We have had people stop by and ask to live in it and they would fix it up for us. A young kid in his twenties came by last week and asked if he could have some of the scrap metal around we have in the fields. We said sure. Less work and clean up for us. Especially because it was suppose to all have been cleaned up before we moved in. We asked him if he wanted the trailers and he said sure. Before we could say anything he was down at the trailer gutting it for scrap metal. We were expecting him to hawl the trailers away not gut them. He did a pretty good job and left most of it in a pile. It looks better already. It only took him a day to have everything out of it. All that is left now is the roof, base and deck around it. We needed to get rid of the trailers and we didnt have to do the demo work. Today was a gorgous day. It was in the high 40's. Asa and Grandpap had a bonfire going all day long. It was a big fire too. I stopped by when I picked AR from preschool and they were loading the tractor with drywall, insulation and any non wood items that wouldnt burn and dumping them in the dumpster we had delivered. We were going to throw all the wood in the dumpster too but there was so much of it we would have need 5 dumpsters.

After stopping by the trailer or demo site; I went back to the house to make sandwiches and got QT and Grandma and we headed back to the trailer for lunch. We had a picnic lunch in the back end of the truck. We even brought Woody some bones too. Once everyone was done eating Grandma took QT back to the house for a nap and AR and I stayed to help with the bonfire. It was alot of work but it was also fun to burn doors and windows and cabinets. Our last load of trash from the huge pile was taken away as the sun was setting. Our fire was a huge pile of redhot coals. The rats and Coyotes wont be cold tonight. I was standing by the deck of the trailer getting a drink of water and I saw out of the corner of my eye something run around me quickly. At first I thought it may have been Woody but he was on the other side of me. At first all I saw was brown but as my eye caught up with it I noticed it was a rat heading for the base of trailer. Yuck! I was amazed I didnt get squeamish or jump. My reaction was " oh there goes a rat, yup it is starting to get dark, that makes sense they are going home for the evening".

As we were packing up the truck for our picnic lunch, I needed a rake out of the goats barn. As I entered I saw several rats scurry away. All of the goats were out in the fields. I keep forgetting to buy rat traps. We dont want to put down poison because of the goats, cats and Woody. Plus with the girls we just dont want to chance it. I need to get the lock and key type. Thankfully we have not seen any rats in the house.

It was dark by the time we got back home. I didnt feel like cooking so we ordered wings and pizza to be delivered. The pizza isnt the best but the wings are pretty good. We all got showered up before dinner arrived. Once dinner was over we all sat in the living room and watched Anastasia. Everyone is in bed and I am up writing the blog of the days events.

Tomorrow Asa has a conference on carpeting in Syracuse. His parents were nice enough to watch the girls. We were going to take QT with us but they decided to have both of the girls to themselves. So while Asa is in the conference I will wonder around Syracuse and check into our hotel. It is a two day conference on carpets. I am sure he will learn alot about carpet but wow that will be boring.. We will be leaving tomorrow by 5am. It takes about 1 1/2 hours to get there but we will stop for coffee and drop of a car in Watertown for repairs. It will be a busy morning but I still have to pack tonight. I am always a last minute packer.

See you all in a few days. Thanks for reading.

We all actually made it to church yesterday. It is a christrian church very small. We stood out like a sore thumb. Everyone was very nice. Our neighbors were there which we didnt realize until after the service. It was 3 hours long. There was 45min of singing before he started his teachings. They had rooms for the kids to play in which I met the teachers and checked it out before I put the girls back there. AR decided she didnt want to go and she wanted to hang with us. She was great. QT we put back in the room after about 1/2 hour. She had lots of little friends to play (3 or 4). Which she usually only gets to play with AR so I thought she would have fun playing with the other kids. After about 20 min Asa and I saw QT running toward us. We were in the back so we were easily spotted by her. We were both stunned. Grandma and Granpap thought someone brought her out to us but I didnt think so because if there is a problem they flash your number. Asa brought her back to the room and they were just realizing she was missing and were looking for her. They were extremely apologetic. I guess what had happened is she went into the neighboring room and opened the door and took off. They told Asa no one had ever done that before.

I wasnt able to get the full story of what had gone down until we were in the car. Quinlyn had lots of fun in the room but I am obviously reluctant to leave her in there again. There are so many "what ifs" that could have happened. I am thankful nothing did happen.

WOW 2007!

How was everyone's NEW YEAR and NEW YEAR's EVE. You know you are getting old when most of your friends dont stay up until Midnight. Everyone here left me hanging by myself at about 9pm. At least when we lived in CO we could make it until 10pm and say it is Midnight in NY. Now being in NY everyone just gave up and went to bed. I went to bed at 930pm and woke up at 1130pm but then went back to bed.

We didnt even do anything fun. I was hoping to at least play cards but that never happened. We had more fun tonight. We all watched Lady and the Tramp II after dinner. Everyone has left and gone to bed again at 9pm.

Our first day of 2007 was spent taking down the Christmas Tree. Asa and Grandpap worked outside for a while this morning fixing the electric fence. Asa said Woody zapped himself pretty good and start a goat stampede because he was howling so bad. Asa also zapped himself again. Asa said "Grandpap laughed so hard it would have been worth zapping myself again just to watch him laugh". It rained all last night and made a muddy mess but it was a very nice day out today. It made the 40's. The last few days it has been cold and in the 20's.

Asa listened to the Bronco game last night on his new short wave radio. One of the first football games he has been able to listen to all season. We dont have TV and the regular radio stations dont play many of the football games. They usually play baseball or hockey which is broadcasted in French. He was very disappointed and mad at the broncos for loosing in overtime. Everyone at his work knows he is a die hard Bronco fan and he pokes fun at all of the New England teams every chance he gets so when the Broncos loose he always hears about it. It has been nice for me not having him know the status of the Broncos all year because I didnt have to deal with his moods when they loose. Or hear him yell and scream at the TV.

I cant remeber if I wrote about QT going pee in the Toilet for the first time last night. I dont think I did. The girls have been using the portable toilet for potty training as a stage for the dancing in the living room. Last night QT wanted to be naked and kept saying potty. So I undressed her and after a few minutes she finally pee'd in the pot.
AR said "I taught her how to do that mom". I thought it was cute.

I have some good pictures from Christmas I will try to remeber to load from my camera. I will post them soon.
