Asa shot two turkies last night. They were pretty big and we didnt have anything to freeze them in but garbage bags so we took them to Spruce Acres the butcher and they vacuum sealed them and weighed them for us. One was 12lbs and the other was 11lbs. They were both nice size turkies. I would take turkies any day over a deer. They taste much better.

Just before the bus pulled up to the drive way to drop addisson off, she had quite the greeting. The pig was out with gladys the chicken along with the guinea hens. Plus woody and the goats were all in the yard. It was quite the welcome home.

One of our guinea hens decided to have babies. The first day she had at least 12. By the next day there were only seven left. We decided to capture them and raise them in the basement. They were so cute in the wild. They were so tiny and could hide so well in the grass it was hard to believe more didnt make it.

I have been busy baking. This week we have a fundraiser bake sale for Noah's Ark Preschool and on Saturday we will be having a booth selling goat meat, baked goods and bracelets at the local winery. It is their big Octoberfest. Unfortunately it is suppose to rain AGAIN.

They did get our hay all cut but it is still in the fields getting wet. It rained and has continued to rain before they could bale it.

Addisson's first day riding the school bus was today. She loved it. Her friends took good care of her. Now she wants to ride the bus tomorrow.

The sears repair man came today to fix our lawn mower. He said I usually get greeted by dogs but never by a herd of goats. It was pretty funny how he was swarmed by them. They even followed him into the garage where the lawn tractor was parked. They didnt leave him alone until he started the lawn mower.
