The Reed Ranch is coming along slowly but surely. We just had many visitors at the farm and we love the company. We are coming up on our 2 year anniversary at the farm and our 3rd summer. So far the spring/summer has been beautiful. The weather has been cool mix with a few hot and humid days but over all very nice.

April, May and now June have gone by in a blink. It seems as though we get busier and busier rather than finishing projects. Addisson just graduated from pre-school and will start kindergarten in the fall. She really wants to ride the bus. however I will drive her. The school is k-12 and the ages on the bus are the same.

Asa started building his outdoor pizza oven with Uncle Tim, Aunt Judy and Great Grandpap. It is coming along slower than anticipated.

We traded in our tractor for a much smaller Kubota. We love it.

We have four kittens that were living on the porch until they started to urinate on it. They have now moved to under the play set. Quinlyn has a favorite which is unlucky for the kitten.

Asa was off today and we went to Syracuse for the day. We went to the Carosel Mall. Where the girls road the carosel and we walked around a little bit. Then he took the girls to the zoo. They had a good time.

We have a total of 15 baby goats. Some arent babies anymore. More like Juveniles. They still love to play lots.

In Syracuse there wasnt any snow on the ground but we still have quite bit up here. We are getting into the major MUD Season. It's awful when you have to wear your muck boot just to get to the car.

On the way home Addisson was singing the song from the Little Mermaid. She was very good knew all the words but was a total chatter box. I dont think she stopped singing or talking the entire trip home.

We celebrated Quinlyn's birthday today. She woke up to balloons and signs and decorations all over the table. She got a Cinderella cake. The kind where the doll is in the middle. She really liked it but had a hard time keeping her fingers out of the frosting so we had to put it back in the box. She had to wait all day for her dad to get home from work in order to eat cake and open presents. She was a trooper. We sang to her and cut the cake. She didnt eat too much off of her plate. But I looked over and noticed her leaning over the table getting ready to take a big bite out of the cake. It was priceless. She took a big old lick of frosting. It was too cute and unplanned.

We had a great Easter. The girls worked outside with their Dad and Grandpap. They were able to get their jungle gym put together that they got for Christmas. They worked on it out in the hay barn. They really do well putting things together. They really had a great time playing on it. We had an egg hunt in the morning and in the late evening sixish, Grandpap took them sledding. They used their Radio Flyer sled they got for Christmas. It was perfect with the snow all icy. Grandpap gave them a running push and they went for a long ways. From the house way out into the fields. They were having a blast. Their cheeks were all red by the time they got back inside.

Lately the girls have had several funny statements. The first one was Addisson when we were at Grandma Kistler's house. Quinlyn and her were in the bath tub and I noticed she got out right away. I asked her why she was getting out so soon and she replied " I told Quinlyn if she sticks her finger in my but one more time I was going to get out!"

This weekend Quinlyn was looking at Grandpap and commented on his facial hair and then looked at his arms and said "you're hairy".

It has been a month since my last blog and so much has happened. Well not too much. The girls and I went to CT to see my parents. They had a great time at Grandma Taylors. Then they took the ferry to LI and spent the night at Grandpaps place. They had a blast there too. In CT we went to the Peabody Museum and saw the dinosaurs. We went to the beach and collected shells. They really liked it. And I got to go to one of my Favorite Pizza places.

We counted the days down until Addisson's birthday. She was beside herself all week. She was turning 5. Yippee. At age 5 she said she would wipe her own butt. We were all excited about that one. Friday I baked 3 cakes to make her birthday cake with. She wanted a Castle Cake. It turned out pretty well. It took most of Saturday to put it together. Asa made the frosting and the design and I put it together.

Sunday was the big day. It was her party. I had made paper chains and hung them in the door ways around the house. She really liked waking up to those. Her party was at the local bowling alley. Theresa Bowl. It had snowed most of Saturday so when we got there it was difficult to get into the parking lot because it hadnt been plowed yet. Several of the people invited to the party were unable to get out of their drive ways to make it to the party. We would have been one of them if it werent for our neighbor who has blessed us with snow removal. Thank you, John. It means more than you know. The party was a hit. Once back at home Addisson opened her presents from the family and was just going a mile a minute. Just like the whole week. We had food left over from the party our neighbors the Smiths came over for dinner. It was a very nice birthday.

Addisson on Monday was a bit cranky. She was having the Birthday Blues. So much to look forward to and now it was over.

A funny thing happened about a week or so ago. Grandma went to lay in her bed to rest and adjusted her pillow to find there was a slice of cooked bacon under it. She was stunned, as was I. The girls were outside so we couldnt ask who had done it. We were both laughing for a while. It gave new meaning to Breakfast in bed. It turned out to be Addisson. She wanted to save it for later and didnt know where to put is so she just stuck it there. I asked her why she didnt ask for a baggie and she said "Oh I didnt think of that, That would have been a good idea".

We had 3 more goat kids last week. They are doing well. Two girls and one boy. Addisson wants to name the twins Eric and Ariel. The other she named Bell.

Last week Asa was watching the girls and he was trying to get the girls to clean up the toys. Addisson asked him " Is anyone coming over today or tomorrow?" He said " No". She said "Well whats the point then!". He was in disbelief.

On saturday we went up to Massena to pick up our 6 goats we had processed. We drove back through Canada. In a small town on the River they were having a Winter Festival. It looked like lots of fun. They were playing horse shoes, golf, snow mobile races. It was very quaint.
